– The sensor arm must not touch the sensor wheel.
All of the bolts -1 through 10- must be replaced.

– First install all of the bolts -1 to 10- and tighten them by hand.
– Tighten all of the bolts -1 to 10- in the tightening sequence

provided. Tightening specification. Refer to

⇒ Fig. ““Tightening Specification and Sequence for DSG

Transmission Mechatronic -J743- ”“ , page 30

– Clean the transmission fluid pan gasket and transmission

sealing surfaces.

– Make sure the seal fits correctly.
– Place the transmission cover -A- over the Mechatronic. Be

careful not to pinch any wires when doing this.

– Install the new bolts -arrows- and tighten in a diagonal se‐

quence in stages.

– Mount the new transmission fluid pump cover -A-. Tighten the

new bolts -arrows- and tighten in a diagonal sequence in

stages.

– Install the transmission. Refer to

⇒ “3.2 Transmission, Installing”, page 91

 .

After Installing Transmission
– Fill with transmission fluid. Refer to

⇒ “9 Transmission Fluid”, page 113

 .

– Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester Vehicle Diagnostic

Tester .

– Perform a basic setting on the DSG Transmission Mechatronic

- J743- .

Note

After installing a “new” Mechatronic, readapt the immobilizer.
