– Check mounting bracket -3- for damage, renew if necessary.
– Slide support rod -1- into rubber grommet -2- -arrow a-.

Removing

Carry out following work:
– Open bonnet.
– Remove radiator grille

– Detach cable -2- from cable coupling 

⇒ page 45

 .

– Detach connector for contact switch for bonnet -F266- if there

is one.

Note

The connector is attached to top left-hand side of lock carrier.

– Remove bolts -4- from lock carrier and remove bonnet lock

-1- upwards -arrow a-.

– Unclip bracket -3- by squeezing catch on bracket together

-arrows b-.

– After releasing the catch on bracket, remove cable -2- from

bonnet lock -1-.

Installing

Carry out following work:
– Attach cable -2- to bonnet lock -1- and clip bracket -3- into

bonnet lock -1- -arrow a-.

– Thread electric wire (if there is one) of contact switch for bon‐

net -F266- into lock carrier.

– Insert bonnet lock -1- into lock carrier -arrow b-.
