Perform the universal trip to clear permanent DTCs

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK TRANSFER INDICATOR SWITCH

(a) Disconnect the D70 transfer indicator switch connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

TESTER CONNECTION

CONDITION

SPECIFIED CONDITION

D70-2 (L4) - Body ground

Always

10 kΩ or higher

GO TO TOUCH SELECT 2-4 AND HIGH-LOW SYSTEM

CHECK 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU

(a) Disconnect the D70 transfer indicator switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the A26 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

CHECK ECM

(a) Disconnect the D70 transfer indicator switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the A26 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

(c) Disconnect the A24 ECM connector.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

A24-21 (L4) - Body ground

Transmission Control Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

After moving the shift lever to S, it is possible to switch the shift range between "1" (S1 range) and "6" (S6

range) using the transmission control switch.

Shifting to "+" once raises the shift range by one, and shifting to "-" once lowers the shift range by one.
