DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. CHECK INDICATOR (for LCD Type)

(a) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(b) Check that the cruise control indicator light illuminates when the cruise control main switch is turned

ON, and that the indicator light turns off when the main switch is turned OFF. If the results are not as

specified, inspect the cruise control indicator light circuit

HINT:

2. CHECK INDICATOR (for TFT Type)

(a) When a malfunction occurs in the cruise control system, the

system turns off the cruise control indicator and the master

warning light illuminates at the same time a "pong" sound is

heard. Also, cruise control indicator light is displayed in the

multi-information display and the ECM stores DTCs.

HINT:

If the system returns to normal, the cruise control indicator
light message on the multi-information display disappears.
Do not remove fuses or disconnect the battery cables until
the inspection is finished. Otherwise, the data stored in the
ECM will be cleared.
