If the pressure is not as specified, check the fuel pump, pressure regulator and/or injectors. (l) After checking the fuel pressure, disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and carefully remove SST and the fuel tube connector to prevent gasoline from spraying. (m) Reconnect the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly (for quick type B)
. (n) Check for fuel leaks. (1) Check that there are no fuel leaks after performing maintenance anywhere on the system. If there are fuel leaks, repair or replace parts as necessary. 3. INSPECT FUEL PRESSURE SWITCHING VALVE OPERATION (a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. (b) Start the engine and warm it up. (c) Turn the Techstream main switch on. (d) Check the "Short FT" value in the Data List before and after activating the fuel pressure switching valve by performing the Active Test. HINT: Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Activate the Fuel Pressure Standard value: When comparing before and after activating the fuel pressure switching valve, the "Short FT" value in the Data List changes by 10% or more. If the value is outside the standard, perform a fuel pressure inspection. There may be an operation malfunction or clog in the fuel pressure switching valve, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure regulator (for high pressure) or fuel tubes. 4. MEASURE ALCOHOL CONCENTRATION (a) Discharge fuel system pressure
. (b) Measure the alcohol concentration. HINT: Prepare a graduated cylinder beforehand. (1) Detach the clamp. (2) Disconnect the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly from the fuel delivery pipe LH (for quick type B)
. (3) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. (4) Turn the ignition switch to ON. NOTICE: Do not start the engine. (5) Turn the Techstream on. (6) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump / 3UR-FBE FUEL: FUEL SYSTEM: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION; 201... |
