6. REMOVE AIR TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

7. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Disconnect the throttle body connector from the throttle body

assembly.

(b) Slide the clamp and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the front water by-pass joint.

(c) Slide the clamp and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

(d) Disconnect the 2 vacuum switching valve connectors.

(e) Slide the clamp and disconnect the purge line hose from the purge VSV.

(f) Slide the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose from the union

to connector tube hose assembly.

(g) Remove the bolt.

(h) Detach the 3 engine wire harness clamps from the 3 wire harness brackets.

(i) Detach the 4 clamps from the fuel tube sub-assembly.

(j) Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly from the fuel delivery

pipe sub-assembly RH

(k) Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly from the fuel delivery

pipe sub-assembly LH 

 

.

(l) Remove the 2 nuts, 8 bolts, intake manifold and 2 gaskets.

8. REMOVE FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and fuel tube sub-assembly from the intake

manifold.

9. REMOVE V-BANK COVER BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and V-bank cover bracket.

10. REMOVE V-BANK COVER BOLT

(a) Remove the V-bank cover bolt from the intake manifold.

11. REMOVE STUD BOLT

(a) Using an E5 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.

12. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for ACIS)

(a) Disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses from the vacuum switching

valve assembly.

(b) Remove the bolt and vacuum switching valve assembly.

13. REMOVE PURGE VSV

(a) Slide the clamp and disconnect the purge line hose from the

intake manifold.

(b) Remove the bolt and purge VSV.

14. REMOVE UNION TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE ASSEMBLY

(a) Slide the clamp and disconnect the union to connector tube hose

from the intake manifold.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and union to connector tube hose assembly.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 wire harness brackets.

15. REMOVE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR 

16. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts, throttle body assembly and gasket.
