CHECK BODY INTEGRATED UNIT.
1) Start the engine, and set the vehicle speed
at 20 km/h (12 MPH) or more.
2) Read the “Front Wheel Speed” of the body
integrated unit using Subaru Select Monitor.
<Ref. to LAN(diag)-12, OPERATION, Subaru
Select Monitor.>
Is the data displayed as
999.9 km/h?
Check the follow-
ing items.

CHECK AMBIENT SENSOR.
Blow hot air at the ambient sensor, and read the
voltage of ambient sensor using Subaru Select
Monitor. <Ref. to LAN(diag)-12, OPERATION,
Subaru Select Monitor.>
Does the voltage change?
Go to step 8.
Go to step 5.
5
CHECK HARNESS.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connector from the body
integrated unit and the ambient sensor.
3) Measure the resistance of harness between
body integrated unit connector and ambient
sensor connector.

CHECK AMBIENT SENSOR.
Blow cold air at the ambient sensor, and read
the ambient temperature using Subaru Select
Monitor. <Ref. to LAN(diag)-12, OPERATION,
Subaru Select Monitor.>
Does the temperature change
(at lower temperatures)?
