Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to 

EM-26, "Removal and Installation"

.

2. Remove the starter harness terminal nut and connector.
3. Remove the two starter bolts (A), using power tools.
4. Remove the starter (1).

: Vehicle front

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Tighten terminal nut carefully.

: 45 N·m (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)

Terminal nut

: 9.6 N·m (0.98 kg-m, 85 in-lb)
