.

1.

CHECK KEY SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

With CONSULT-III

Check key switch "KEY ON SW" in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT–III. Refer to 

DLK-20, "DOOR

LOCK : CONSULT-III Function (BCM - DOOR LOCK)"

.

• When key is inserted to ignition key cylinder:

• When key is removed from ignition key cylinder:

Without CONSULT-III

Check voltage between BCM connector M18 terminal 37 and

ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Key switch circuit is OK.

NO

>> GO TO 2

2.

CHECK KEY SWITCH

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect key switch connector.

3. Check continuity between key switch terminals 3 and 4.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3

NO

>> Replace key switch.

CHECK KEY SWITCH CIRCUIT

1. Disconnect BCM connector.

2. Check continuity between the BCM harness connector M18 ter-

minal 37 and key switch harness connector M80 terminal 4.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector M18 terminal

37 (B/R) and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Check the following:

• 10A fuse [No. 19, located in fuse block (J/B)]

• Harness for open or short between key switch and

fuse

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

With CONSULT-III

Check key switch "KEY ON SW" in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT–III. Refer to 

DLK-20, "DOOR

LOCK : CONSULT-III Function (BCM - DOOR LOCK)"

.

• When key is inserted to ignition key cylinder:

Without CONSULT-III

Check voltage between BCM connector M18 terminal 37 and

ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch) circuit is

OK.

NO

>> GO TO 2

2.

CHECK KEY SWITCH AND KEY LOCK SOLENOID (KEY SWITCH)

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch) connector.

3. Check continuity between key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch) terminals 3 and 4.

NO

>> Replace key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch).

3.

CHECK KEY SWITCH AND KEY LOCK SOLENOID (KEY SWITCH) CIRCUIT

1. Disconnect BCM connector.

2. Check continuity between the BCM harness connector M18 ter-

minal 37 and key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch) har-

ness connector M27 terminal 4.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector M18 terminal

37 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Check the following:

• 10A fuse [No. 19, located in fuse block (J/B)]

• Harness for open or short between key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch) and fuse

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

Locks/unlocks the door with the signal from BCM.

CHECK FUNCTION

1. Use CONSULT-III to perform Active Test "DOOR LOCK".

2. Touch “ALL LCK” or “ALL ULK” to check that it works normally.
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Door lock actuator is OK.

NO

>> Refer to 

DLK-45, "FRONT LH : Diagnosis Procedure"

.

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR SIGNAL

Check voltage between BCM connector M20 terminals 59, 65 and

ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2

NO

>> Replace BCM. Refer to 

BCS-53, "Removal and Installation"

.

2.

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS

1. Disconnect BCM and front door lock assembly LH.

2. Check continuity between BCM connector M20 terminals 59, 65

and front door lock assembly LH connector D14 terminals 2, 3. 

3. Check continuity between BCM connector M20 terminals 59, 65

and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
