DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART Check the following. >> Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors. 11. CHECK FUEL PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT 1. Disconnect “fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump (main)” harness connector. 2. Check the continuity between FPCM harness connector and “fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump (main)” 3. Also check harness for short to ground and short to power. Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 12. NO >> Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors. 12. CHECK FUEL PUMP EC-289, "Component Inspection (Fuel pump)" Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 13. NO >> Replace fuel pump. 13. CHECK FPCM EC-290, "Component Inspection (FPCM)" Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 14. NO >> Replace FPCM. 14. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT GI-33, "Intermittent Incident" . >> INSPECTION END Component Inspection (Fuel pump) INFOID:0000000006066588 1. CHECK FUEL PUMP 1. Turn ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect “fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump (main)” harness connector. 3. Check resistance between “fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump (main)” terminals as follows.
