Removal and Installation

CAUTION:

• When removing, always use a remover tool that is made of plastic to prevent damage to the parts.
• Never damage the front door glass and the front door panel.

REMOVAL

1.

Remove inside handle escutcheon.

Front door panel

a.

Apply protective tape (A) on front door finisher to protect it from
damage.

b.

Disengage inside handle escutcheon fixing pawls using a remover tool (B), and then remove inside han-
dle escutcheon.

CAUTION:

• Because there is no gap between inside handle escutcheon and front door finisher, use the work

hole 

 on the inside handle escutcheon front end.

• Never damage mirror remote control switch by contact with inside handle escutcheon.

2.

Remove front door grip cap.

a.

Apply protective tape (A) on front door finisher to protect it from
damage.

b.

Disengage front door grip cap fixing pawls of upper side portion
using a remover tool (A).

c.

Disengage front door grip cap fixing pawls of lower side portion
according to numerical order 1

2 indicated by arrows as shown

in the figure.

d.

Disconnect door mirror remote control switch harness connector, and then remove front door grip cap.
NOTE:
Remove door mirror remote control switch. Refer to 

MIR-32, "Removal and Installation"

.

3.

Disengage front door grip assembly fixing screws 

 and fixing

pawls, and then remove front door grip assembly.

4.

Remove power window switch finisher.

a.

Apply protective tapes (A) on front door finisher to protect it from
damage.
