B00DF AIR BAG CUTOFF SWITCH SRC-65 < DTC/CIRCUIT DIAGNOSIS > C D E F G I J K L M A B SRC N O P B00DF AIR BAG CUTOFF SWITCH DTC Description INFOID:0000000010431036 DTC DETECTION LOGIC POSSIBLE CAUSE • Harness or connectors (Air bag cutoff switch circuit is open or shorted) FAIL-SAFE — DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE 1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULT With CONSULT 1. Turn ignition switch ON. 2. Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG” using CONSULT. Is malfunctioning part detected? YES >> Refer to NO-1 >> To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to GI-41, "Intermittent Incident" NO-2 >> Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END Diagnosis Procedure INFOID:0000000010431037 WARNING: • Before servicing, turn ignition switch OFF, disconnect both battery terminals and wait at least 3 min- utes. (To discharge backup capacitor.) • Never use unspecified tester or other measuring device. 1. CHECK HARNESS CONNECTOR Check the connection of harness connector. Is the connection normal? YES >> GO TO 2. NO >> Replace harness connector. 2. CHECK WIRING HARNESS Check the wiring harness externals. Are the harness external parts normal (no damage)? YES >> GO TO 3. NO >> Replace wiring harness. 3. CHECK AIR BAG CUTOFF SWITCH 1. Replace air bag cutoff switch. Refer to IP-13, "Removal and Installation" . 2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to . Is DTC detected? YES >> GO TO 4. NO >> INSPECTION END 4. REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT 1. Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit.
