Electric throttle control actuator data should be initialized when electric throttle control actuator is replaced.

Work Procedure

1.

PERFORM ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL ACTUATOR DATA INITIALIZATION

With CONSULT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 12 minutes.

2.

Turn ignition switch ON.

3.

Perform “AFTR ELECTRIC THRTTL CNTRL ACTUATOR RPLCMNT” in “WORK SUPPORT” mode of
“ENGINE” using CONSULT.

FLYWHEEL LEARNING

Description

Engine speed and cylinder identification are detected by the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. To detect the
flywheel teeth. This learning is performed. Therefore this learning should be carried out before diagnosis of
misfire (P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0313). It must be performed under the following conditions:
• Electric throttle control actuator is replaced.
• ECM is replaced.
• When removing battery terminal.

PRECONDITIONING

Make sure that all of the following conditions are satisfied.
Learning will be cancelled if any of the following conditions are missed for even a moment.
• Engine coolant temperature: More than 5

>> GO TO 2.

2.

PERFORM FLYWHEEL LEARNING

1.

Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

2.

Drive the vehicle for at least 3 consecutive seconds under the following conditions.

CAUTION:

Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.

3.

Drive the vehicle for at least 10 consecutive seconds under the following conditions.

CAUTION:

Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.

4.

Stop the vehicle and shift the selector lever to Neutral position,

5.

Make sure that accelerator pedal, brake pedal and clutch pedal are fully released.

Do you have CONSULT?

YES

>> END

NO

>> GO TO 3.

3.

PERFORM FLYWHEEL LEARNING

Check “LEARN H/TURN DEFULT STAT” in “DATA MONITOR” mode with CONSULT.

Is “LEARN” displayed on CONSULT screen?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> END

4.

DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART

Engine component parts and their installation condition are questionable. Check and eliminate the cause of
the incident.

PERFORM FUEL INJECTOR DATA INITIALIZATION

With CONSULT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 12 minutes.

2.

Turn ignition switch ON.

3.

Perform “AFTER FUEL INJECTOR REPLACEMENT” in “WORK SUPPORT” mode of “ENGINE” using
CONSULT.
