Work Procedure

SHIPPING MODE CANCEL OPERATION

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Push in (switch on) the extended storage fuse switch. Refer to 

PG-145, "How To Check"

.

3.

Turn ignition switch ON.

4.

Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 2 seconds.

>> GO TO 2.

2.

SHIPPING MODE CANCEL CHECK

1.

Turn ignition switch ON.

2.

Check that extended storage fuse warning message is not displayed on information display.

>> WORK END

DTC Description

DESCRIPTION

CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time applications. It is an on-vehicle mul-
tiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Modern
vehicle is equipped with many electronic control unit, and each control unit shares information and links with
other control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected
with 2 communication lines (CAN H-line, CAN L-line) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less
wiring. Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only. CAN Communication

Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM SELF DIAGNOSTIC

1.

Turn ignition switch ON and wait for 2 seconds or more.

2.

Check “Self Diagnostic Result” of BCM.

Is DTC “U1000–00” displayed?

YES

>> Refer to 

LAN-24, "Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart"

.

NO–1 >> To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to 

GI-41, "Intermittent Incident"

.

NO–2 >> Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

CAN COMM

When BCM cannot communicate CAN communication signal continuously
