TROUBLESHOOTING MULTIPOINT FUEL INJECTION (MPI) 13A-85 DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE STEP 1. Perform resistance measurement at • Disconnect connector, and measure at solenoid valve side. • Resistance between terminals. OK: 22 − 26 Ω (at 20°C) Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 3. NO : Repair or replace the connector, or replace STEP 3. Perform voltage measurement at • Disconnect connector, and measure at harness side. • Ignition switch: "ON" • Voltage between terminal PURG and body earth. OK: System voltage Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 4. NO : Repair or replace the connector, or check and repair harness between purge control • Check output line for short circuit. STEP 4. Check harness between purge control • Check output line for damage. Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 5. NO : Repair or replace the connector, or repair STEP 5.
