Oil Pan

The oil pan design improves rust prevention by using 
galvanized sheet steel; prevents agitation due to the 
crankshaft; reduces oil air ration and rotational resis-
tance of the crankshaft by using a baffle plate 
installed to the lower side of the bearing cap.

The related main body (cylinder block, cylinder head, 
piston and connecting rod) of 6G75-SOHC Engine 
assembled on GALANT in a new model vehicle is the 
same as that of 6G75-SOHC Engine assembled on 
ENDEAVOR. The other components are based on 
the 6G72-SOHC Engine assembled on GALANT. 
The changes are applied as follows:

Change of installation location for oil filter bracket 
and addition of cover.
