DIAGNOSIS TROUBLE CODE PROCEDURES SMART WIRING SYSTEM (SWS) USING SWS MONITOR 54C-20 Step 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is position to "ON" position. (3) On completion, check that the diagnosis code is not reset. Q: Is the check result normal? YES : The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 − How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service − How to Cope with Intermittent ). NO : Replace the engine-ECU <M/T> or Step 5. Diagnosis code No.U1102: ABS-ECU or ASC-ECU time-out CAUTION • If diagnosis code No.U1102 is set in the ETACS-ECU, diagnose the CAN bus lines. • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the input and output signal circuits are nor- TROUBLE JUDGMENT The ETACS-ECU receives ABS or ASC sys- COMMENT ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM Current trouble • Connector(s) or wiring harness in the CAN bus lines between the ABS-ECU or ASC-ECU and Past trouble • If diagnosis code No.U1102 are stored as a past trouble, carry out diagnosis with particular − How to Treat Past Trouble NOTE: For a past trouble, you can not find it by the M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics even if there is − How to Cope with Intermit- tent Malfunctions and check the CAN bus lines. You can narrow down the possible − CAN PROBABLE CAUSES • Malfunction of the ABS-ECU • Malfunction of the ASC-ECU • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU • Damaged harness wires and connectors DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE Step 1.
