TROUBLESHOOTING

HEATER, AIR CONDITIONER AND VENTILATION

STEP 6. Check the wiring harness between C-06 
blower switch connector (terminals 2, 1 and 4) 
and C-23 A/C temperature control resistor 
connector (terminals 4, 3 and 2).

• Check the blower switch output line for open cir-

cuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 7.

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 7. Connector check: C-28 blower motor 
connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 8.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

blower motor connector terminal No.1 and C-23 
A/C temperature control resistor connector 
terminal No.1.

• Check the blower motor power supply line for 

open circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

The trouble can be an intermittent 

malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to 
Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the power is not supplied to the A/C compressor 
and clutch assembly, the A/C compressor and clutch 
assembly circuits may be defective..

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of A/C compressor and clutch 

assembly

• Malfunction of A/C compressor relay

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

YES : 

Go to Step 2.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

STEP 2. Voltage measurement at A-33 A/C 
compressor and clutch assembly connector.

(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the 

wiring harness side.

(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
