1. Remove insulator with special tool transmission 

rear oil seal installer (MD999547).

2. Using the following special tools with a hydraulic 

press, press fit each insulator to adjust until the 
hollow part faces as shown and the difference 
between A and B is 0.7 mm.

• Lower Arm Bushing Arbour (MB990947)

• Rear Suspension Bushing Remover and Installer 

Base (MB990847)

• Mount Bushing Remover and Installer 

(MB990981)

3. Install the differential mount bracket (rear) as 

shown, so that the marking is located forward.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The rear axle has the following features:

• A banjo type semi-flowing type axle has been 

incorporated.

• The wheel bearing is a double taper roller bearing 

and is highly resistant to a thrust load.

• ABS rotor for detecting the wheel speed is press-

fitted to the retainer. <Vehicles with ABS>

• Helical limited slip differential has been adopted 

as optional. <2WD except High rider>

• Hybrid limited slip differential has been adopted 

as optional.

• Rear differential lock system has been adopted 

as optional.<4WD>
