DTC P0604 [MZI-3.7] DTC P0604 (MZI-3.7) DETECTION CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE DTC P0604 (MZI-3.7) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE Retrieve DTCs using the M-MDS. Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC 7 VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC Verify that all disconnected connectors Turn the ignition switch to the ON Clear the DTC from the PCM memory Perform the "KOEO and KOER self- Retrieve DTCs using the M-MDS. Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC Yes Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. No Go to the next step. 8 VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the "AFTER REPAIR Are any DTCs present? Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See No Troubleshooting completed. DTC P0604 Internal control module random access memory (RAM) error DETECTION CONDITION Indicates the PCM RAM has been corrupted. POSSIBLE CAUSE Module reprogramming Aftermarket performance products. PCM malfunction STEP INSPECTION ACTION 1 VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been Yes Go to the next step. No Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair
