t, read DTC’s.
Are DTC’s P1745 and P1747 present in addition to the P1749 DTC?
All
Yes
→
Repair the open or high resistance Transmission Case Ground
also check and repair the solenoid case ground inside the trans-
mission.
Perform AW4 TRANS VERIFICATION TEST-VER1.
No
→
Go To

Turn ignition off to the lock position.
Remove the Transmission Oil Pan, refer to the Service Information.
Disconnect the Solenoid C harness connector.
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Solenoid C Control circuit in the Solenoid C connector.
Is there any voltage present?
All
Yes
→
Repair the Solenoid C Control circuit for a short to voltage.
Perform AW4 TRANS VERIFICATION TEST-VER1.
No
→
Go To

Turn ignition off to the lock position.
Remove the Transmission Oil Pan, refer to the service information.
Disconnect the Solenoid C harness connector.
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Measure the resistance of Solenoid C from the solenoid mounting bracket to the
solenoid wire terminal.
Is the resistance between 11.0 and 15.0 ohms?
All
Yes
→
Go To
10
No
→
Replace Solenoid C.
Perform AW4 TRANS VERIFICATION TEST-VER1.

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
All
Repair
Replace the TCM.
Perform AW4 TRANS VERIFICATION TEST-VER1.

Using the when monitored / when set conditions, attempt to reset the DTC. If the
DTC can be reset return to the symptom list and perform the appropriate diagnostic
test.
Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
NOTE: Check the Technical Service Bulletins.
Were any problems found?
All
Yes
→
Repair the wiring and/or connectors as necessary.
Perform AW4 TRANS VERIFICATION TEST-VER1.
No
→
Test Complete.
