P0463-FUEL LEVEL SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT HIGH (CONTINUED) For the Engine circuit diagram (Refer to 9 - ENGINE - SCHEMATICS AND DIAGRAMS). For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Section 8W. • When Monitored: • Set Condition: Possible Causes (N4) FUEL LEVEL SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE (Z912), (Z210) GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSTRUMENT CLUSTER Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE - Diagnostic Test 1. FUEL LEVEL SENSOR VOLTS ABOVE 4.9 VOLTS NOTE: Diagnose any CAN - B and CAN - C Communication DTCs before continuing. With a scan tool, read the Fuel Level Sensor voltage. Is the Fuel Level Sensor voltage above 4.9 volts? Yes >> Go To 2 No >> Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure. Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE - STANDARD PROCEDURE) 2. FUEL LEVEL SENSOR Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Fuel Pump Module electrical harness connector. Ignition on, engine not running. Did the Fuel Level gauge change from full to empty? Yes >> Replace the Fuel Level Sensor. Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.
