With the assistance of three people and exercising care, install the rear window glass.  

  

1) Windshield glass spacer. 

  

2) Windshield glass. 

  

3) Vehicle body. 

  

4) Armoured frame. 

  

 

Center the rear window glass to the rear window glass frame and mark the central position of the rear 
window glass.

Left-hand shown, right-hand similar. 

 
With assistance, install the luggage compartment lid. 

  

 

Install the retaining nuts.

Check the clearance between the luggage compartment lid and the rear window glass and make sure that the luggage 
compartment lid can open with the rear window glass seal in position.  

 

 

10 . NOTE:  

  

Left-hand shown, right-hand similar. 

 
With assistance, remove the luggage compartment lid. 

  

 

Remove the retaining nuts.

 WARNING: When removing the rear window glass, personal protection must be worn. Failure to follow 

this instruction may result in personal injury.  

 

 CAUTION: When removing the rear window glass, do not strike it in any way as this will crack the glass. 

Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the component.  

 
With the assistance of three people and exercising care, remove the rear window glass.

 CAUTION: Make sure that only the recommended degreasing and cleaning fluids are used. Failure to 

follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.  

 

 CAUTION: Make sure that only the recommended adhesive and primers are used. Failure to follow this 

instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.  

 
Clean the rear window glass surface using clean Betawipe spirit.

 CAUTION: Make sure that only the recommended degreasing and cleaning fluids are used. Failure to 

follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.  

 

 CAUTION: Make sure that only the recommended adhesive and primers are used. Failure to follow this 

instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.  

 
Apply glass primer to the mating face of the body flange.

Apply Betaseal on the rear window glass frame.  

  

 

Around the edge of the armoured frame and also around the side of the rear window glass make a 
15-20 mm wide (0.59-0.79 inch) seal using Betaseal.

 WARNING: When installing the rear window glass, personal protection must be worn. Failure to follow 

this instruction may result in personal injury.  

 

 CAUTION: When installing the rear window glass, do not strike it in any way as this will crack the glass. 

Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the component.  

 

 CAUTION: When the rear window glass is correctly aligned, hold the rear window glass into position with 

strong adhesive tape for 24 hours. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.  

 
With the assistance of three people and exercising care, install the rear window glass.  

  

1) Windshield glass spacer. 

  

2) Windshield glass. 

  

3) Vehicle body. 

  

4) Armoured frame. 

  

 

Align the rear window glass to the rear window glass frame and align with the marks previously 
made. 

 

 

 

 

16 . Correctly route the wiring harness through the vehicle body. 

 

 

 

17 . NOTE:  

  

Leave the Betaseal to dry. 

 
Apply Betaseal around the rear window glass.

NOTE:  

  

When the Betaseal is dry, install the a new weather seal and mark the position. 

 
Install the rear window finisher.  

  

 

Center the rear window finisher to the rear window glass frame and mark the central position of the 
rear window glass finisher. 

 

 

 

 

19 . Remove the rear window glass finisher. 

 

 

20 . Apply primer on the rear window glass finisher to the surface to be glued. 

 

 

21 . Apply glass primer on the rear window glass where the seal will be glued.
