cessively fast, even though the stop
lamp is not flashed, the driver may in鄄
tend to slow down or steer the direction.
淫 If someone wants to overtake your
vehicle, please provide convenience for
the driver. You'd better turn right slightly.

Out of control

Sideslip
The vehicle may be out of control when
sideslip happens. The cautious drivers
may take proper measures according to
the existing drive condition and avoid
over speed driving according to the
driving condition, which can avoid most
sideslip phenomena. But the sideslip
may happen at any time.
There are three sideslip mode which
match with the three control systems of
the vehicle. The wheel will not rotate
when brake sideslip happens. The
cause of steering or turning sideslip is
that excessively fast speed or excessive
steering at the curved lane leads to the
tyre slip and the extinction of the steer鄄
ing force. The cause of accelerating

sideslip is that the excessive opening of
the air throttle leads to the slip of the
drive wheel.
The best way to handle the steering
sideslip is to loose the accelerating ped鄄
al.
Please remember: Any traction force
control system can only help to avoid
the accelerating sideslip. If the traction
force control system is opened, the best
way to handle the accelerating sideslip
is to loose the accelerating pedal.
If the vehicle begins to slip, loose the
accelerating pedal and implement steer鄄
ing fast towards the required direction. If
the speed of the steering is fast enough,
the vehicle can recover its linear drive
and be ready to handle the next
sideslip.

barrier on the front road. Do not cross
over the real line or the double real line
at the two sides of your vehicle, even
though there is no vehicle close to your
vehicle on the road.
淫 When waiting for the overtaking
chance, the distance from the vehicle
which intends to overtake your vehicle
can not be too short. First, excessive
short distance will narrow the scope of
the visual field, especially when follow鄄
ing the large vehicles. If the front vehi鄄
cles decelerate their speed suddenly or
stop, you will have no enough distance
to brake. Please keep proper distance
from the other vehicles.
淫 If overtaking chance appears, you
can accelerate the speed, but you still
need to stay at the right lane and do not

get close to the front vehicle. Estimate
the drive time so as to turn to another
lane in a proper chance. When there is
no barrier for overtaking, it is a good
beginning which can make up for the
lagging distance at the time you return
to the original lane. If the situations
which may have you change your over鄄
taking plan, you just need to slow down
the speed and return to the original lane
to wait for the next chance.
淫 If other vehicles queue to overtake
a vehicle at a slow speed, you need to
wait for your chance. But you should
notice whether there is any other vehicle
trying to overtake your vehicle when you
overtake the slow vehicle, and remem鄄
ber to scan backward and check the
blind spot.

Before implementing overtaking at the
right lane, you should examine the back
mirror, scan backward and start the
signal of changing lane towards the left.
When you have overtaken the other ve鄄
hicle far enough and can see the front
of the other vehicle from the back mirror
in the vehicle, start the signal of chang鄄
ing lane towards the right and return to
the right lane. Remember the back mir鄄
ror at the right side out of the vehicle is
the convex mirror, thus, the distance
from the vehicle that you have taken
over appears farer than the practical
distance.
淫 You should try to overtake a vehicle
once on the double-lane road, and you
should be cautious before continuously
overtaking the next vehicle.

The following are some small hints
about drive at night:
淫 Drive cautiously.
淫 Do not drive after drinking alcohol.
淫 Adjust the back mirror in the vehicle
in order to reduce the glare of the
headlight on the back vehicle.
淫 Owing to the low visibility, the driver
needs to slow down the speed and
keep farer distance from the other vehi鄄
cles.
淫 Drive by slowing down the speed,
especially on the highway lane, the
headlamp can only illuminate limited
road in the front.
淫 Take care of the animals when driv鄄
ing in the remote region.
淫 If the drivers feel tired, they can rest
by stopping the vehicle on the roadside.

The eyesight of anyone at night is worse
than that at daytime. As we grow up, the
difference is more evident. If a 50-year-
old driver wants to see a target at night
clearly, he will need twice lights as that
required by a 20-year-old young person.
The daytime activities will influence the
eyesight at night. E.g. if you stay under
the strong light for a long time, you'd
better wear the sunglass, so it is easy to
adapt your eyes to the light at night. But
it is unnecessary to wear the sunglasses
when driving at night, though they can
reduce the glare of the headlamp, you
can not see many objects clearly.
You may be temporarily blind when get鄄
ting close to the headlamp and it will
take you 1 -2 or several seconds to
adapt your eyes to the black environ鄄

ment. When you see the strong glare,
such as, the other driver does not turn
the high light of the headlamp to the
dim light, or the light from the headlamp
of the other vehicle is not aligned, you
should slow down the speed slightly
and avoid seeing the headlamp of the
head-on vehicle directly.
Keep the windshield and the internal
and external surface of all the glass
clean. The smudge on the glass will
worsen the glare at night. Even though
there may be accumulated dust on the
internal surface. The glare from the dirt
glass is stronger than that from the
clean glass, which may lead to repeat鄄
ed shrinkage to your pupil.
Please remember: When the turning is
conducted or the vehicle drives on the

Of course, if there is accumulated water,
snow, ice, sandstone or other sundries,
the traction force will be very small. For
the sake of the safety, you can slow
down the speed and adjust the drive
mode according to these road condi鄄
tions. The brake distance will be ex鄄
tended and the vehicle control will be
more restricted when driving on the
wet-skidding road, thus, it is important
to slow down the speed.
When driving on the road with small
traction force, the driver should avoid
the sudden steering, acceleration or
brake, including implement the engine
brake by reducing the gear. Any sud鄄
den change may cause the tyre slip.
You may realize the wet-skidding road
after the vehicle slips. Learn to identify

the alarm warning sign, such as, water,
ice or accumulates snow on the road
may make the road smooth like a mirror.
If there is any doubt, you need to slow
down the speed.

Please remember: Any anti -skid brak鄄
ing system (ABS) can only help to avoid
the brake sideslip.

Drive at night

Drive at night is more dangerous than
that at daytime. One of the reasons is
some drivers may be obsessed by the
fatigue and the problems like alcohol,
medicine and the visual field at night.

Be sure that the wiper blade of the front
windshield is in good working state, and
the washing solution tank of the front
windshield is filled with the washing so鄄
lution. If the towage phenomenon ap鄄
pears when washing the wiper blade or
if there is missed wiper area left on the
front windshield, or if the rubber strip
separates from the wiper blade, the
wiper blade must be replaced.
Driving cross the big water hole or the
car -washing device fast also may
cause fault. The water may influence the
brake performance. The drivers should
try their best to avoid driving cross the
water hole. If the water hole can not be
avoided, they should try their best to
cross it slowly.

Hydroplaning
The hydroplaning is very dangerous.
The excessively accumulated water un鄄
der the tyre will cause the tyre float on
the water film. This condition will happen
when the road is wet-skidding and the
speed is too fast. When the hydroplan鄄
ing happens to the vehicle, the contact
between the tyre and the road is very
few or there is absolutely no contact be鄄
tween them.
The hydroplaning does not happen fre鄄
quently. If the tyre surface is abraded to
be flat or if one or several tyres are
short of air pressure, the hydroplaning
will happen. Excessively accumulated
water on the road also may cause the
hydroplaning phenomenon. If you can
see the reflections of the trees, the wire

The damp brake may cause accidents.
When the emergent brake is needed,
the poor performance of the damp
brake may cause the vehicle to deflect
towards one side, and the vehicle may
be out of control.
After driving cross the big water hole or
the car -washing device, step on the
brake pedal until the brake turns to nor鄄
mal.

curved lane, the irradiation distance of
the headlamp is shorter than that when
the vehicle drives linearly. Turning your
eyes constantly can help you to identify
the dim objects. Just as the headlamp
needs to check the light -alignment
condition periodically, your eyes also
need to be checked periodically. Some
drivers suffer the nyctalopia, which
means that they can not see objects
clearly under the dim light, even they
themselves do not realize it.

Drive on the wet-skidding road in rainy
days

The wet-skidding road at rainy days will
cause difficulty. Because the traction
force of the tyre on the wet -skidding
road at rainy days is smaller than that
on the dry road, the brake, acceleration
or steering performance are relatively
bad. Moreover, if there are fewer veins
left on the tyre surface, the traction force
of the tyre is much smaller. If it begins

to rain when you are driving, you'd bet鄄
ter slow down the speed and be very
careful. Your reaction is still kept at the
state of driving on the dry road, though
the road may become wet-skidding.
The bigger the rain becomes, the lower
the visibility will be. Even though the
wiper blade of the front windshield is in
good working state, it is still difficult to
see the road sign, the traffic signal, the
road mark, the lane verge and even the
passerby when the heavy rain appears.

Other hints about the drive in rainy days
淫 Slow down the speed and extend
the distance between the vehicles. You
should be very carefully, especially
when you want to overtake the other
vehicle. Maintain more space in front of
the road and be well prepared for the
limited visual field caused by the splash
of the rainwater.
淫 The tyre in good quality with mild
depth of the tyre surface veins should
be used. Refer to "Tyre" in section吁.

Drive in the urban area

One of the biggest problems when driv鄄
ing in the urban area is the vehicle slow
on the urban street. You must pay close
attention to the action of the other
drivers and the traffic signal light.
The methods to improve the safety of
the drive in the urban area are as fol鄄
lows:
淫 Know the best route to the destina鄄
tion. Just like the multinational travel,

you need to find an urban map and
make a plan about the traveling route to
the strange place of the urban area.
淫 Try your best to use the transfixion
highway at the verge of most big cities.
In such a case, you can save the time
and energy. Refer to "Drive on the high鄄
way" in this section.
淫 Regard the green light as the warn鄄
ing signal light. Traffic signal light is set
for the busyness of the traffic at the
road junction. After the signal light turns
to green, please first examine whether
there are the vehicles which do not
cross the crossing or the vehicles which
cross the road when the red light is on,
and then start to run.

droplaning may also happen.
The hydroplaning generally happens
when driving in high speed. For hy鄄
droplaning, there is no strictly and un鄄
changeable driving rule. The best sug鄄
gestion is that slow down you speed
when driving in rainy days.

Drive across the deep-water area

Drive across the running water

Notes

Drive across the deep -water hole or
the accumulated water area, the water
may enter the engine through the air
inlet of the engine and then the engine
may be damaged seriously. Do not
drive across the deep -water area
whose level is slightly lower than that of
the vehicle bottom. If the deep -water
hole or the accumulated water area can
not be avoided, the drivers must drive
their vehicles slowly.

Notes

The running water or the torrent will
generate strong impulse force. When
the water level is relatively low, you may
try to cross the running water, but the
vehicle may be rushed away. The small
vehicles can be rushed away by the
running water of 6 -inch. When this
condition occurs, the people in the ve鄄
hicle will suffer the drowning accidents.
Do not neglect the warning mark set by
the police, the drivers must be very
cautious when you have to drive across
the running water.
