6. If all the above systems are normal, retry the self-diag-
nosis. If the self-diagnosis are still disable, check the 
driver seat control unit connector and terminals for loose-
ness and damage.

Lumber support motor does not operated.

Seat Sliding Motor Circuit  Inspection

1. 

CHECK SEAT SLIDING MECHANISM

Check the following.
1.

Operation malfunction caused by sliding rail deformation or pinched harness or other foreign materials

2.

Operation malfunction caused by foreign materials adhered to the sliding motor or sliding rail connector
rod

3.

Operation malfunction and interference with other parts by poor installation.

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 2.

NG

>> Repair the malfunction part and check again.

2. 

CHECK FUNCTION

With CONSULT-II

Check operation with “SEAT SLIDE” in ACTIVE TEST. 

Without CONSULT-II

Perform the self-diagnosis. Refer to 

SE-51, "ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS FOR AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSI-

TIONER"

 .

OK or NG

OK

>> System is OK.

NG

>> GO TO 3.

3. 

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect driver seat control unit connector and sliding motor connector.

3.

Check continuity between driver seat control unit connector
B142 terminals 1 (W), 8 (BR) and sliding motor connector B146
terminals 1 (W), 8 (BR).

4.

Check continuity between driver seat control unit connector
B142 terminals 1, 8 and body ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 4.

NG

>> Repair or replace harness between driver seat control unit and sliding motor.

CHECK DRIVER SEAT CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT SIGNAL

1.

Connect the driver seat control unit connector and sliding motor connector.

2.

Check voltage between the driver seat control unit connector.

OK or NG

OK

>> Replace sliding motor.

NG

>> Replace driver seat control unit.

Seat Reclining Motor Circuit Inspection

CHECK SEAT RECLINING MECHANISM

Check following.

1.

Operation malfunction caused by an interference with the center pillar or center console.

2.

Operation malfunction and interference with other parts by poor installation.

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 2.

NG

>> Repair the malfunction part and check again.

2. 

CHECK FUNCTIONAL

With CONSULT-II

Check operation with “SEAT RECLINING” in ACTIVE TEST. 

Without CONSULT-II

Perform the self-diagnosis. Refer to 

SE-51, "ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS FOR AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSI-

TIONER"

 .

OK or NG

OK

>> System is OK.

NG

>> GO TO 3.
