• Replace diagnosis sensor unit 

(ACU).

DRIVER AIRBAG MOD-

• Driver air bag module circuit is open. (including the spiral cable.)

Repair or replace wiring harness/
harness connector.

2.

Replace driver air bag module.

3.

Replace spiral cable. Refer to

4.

Replace diagnosis sensor unit 
(ACU).

• Driver air bag module circuit is shorted to itself.

NOTE:
Follow the procedures in numerical order when repairing malfunctioning parts. Confirm whether malfunction is
eliminated using air bag warning lamp or CONSULT-IlI each time repair is completed. If malfunction is still
observed, proceed to the next step. When malfunction is eliminated, further repair work is not required.
