MASTER CYLINDER 

Disassembly 

1. Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Clean 

outside of master cylinder. Remove filler cap and diaphragm. Drain any remaining fluid from cylinder.  

2. If equipped, remove the brake pressure switch. See Fig. 93 .  

3. Remove the brake master cylinder fluid control valve. See Fig. 94 .  

4. Depress the primary piston and remove the snap ring. Remove and discard the primary piston assembly. 

See Fig. 95 .  

5. Plug the rear outlet port and, if necessary, plug the brake pressure switch port. See Fig. 96 . Apply 

compressed air into the front outlet port and remove the secondary piston assembly and discard.  

NOTE:

Brake pressure switch may also be referred to as speed control deactivator 
switch.
