2. Tighten the four nuts and fifth foot bolt in the following sequence: 

1. Tighten the two front bolts to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).  

2. Tighten the two rear bolts to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).  

3. Tighten the fifth foot bolt to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).  

3. Install the fifth foot trim cover.

60 percent seat 

4. Install the two safety belt anchor bolts.

5. Remove the restraint system diagnostic tool. Connect the seat and the safety belt buckle pretensioner 

electrical connectors.  

6. Connect the battery ground cable.  

7. With restraint system diagnostic tools installed at the remaining deployable devices, prove out the 

supplemental restraint system (SRS). Refer to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . 

WARNING:

To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the 
backup power supply must be depleted before repairing or replacing 
any front or side air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) 
components and before servicing, replacing, adjusting or striking

8. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait at least one minute. 

9. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure. Refer to 

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION . 

10. With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). 

Refer to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .  

11. Check the active restraints for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .  

REAR SEAT - SUPERCAB 

Removal and Installation 

1. Flip the seat cushions, then remove the six riser nuts and bolts (left outer riser shown). 

components near the front or side air bag sensors, such as doors, 
instrument panel, console, door latches, strikers, seats and hood 
latches. 
To deplete the backup power supply energy, disconnect the battery 
ground cable and wait at least one minute. Be sure to disconnect 
auxiliary batteries and power supplies (if equipped).

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all 
warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the supplemental 
restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.

WARNING:

The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service 
only. Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove 
could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety 
standards.

2. Remove the seat.  

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check the active restraint system for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .  

REAR SEAT - 60 PERCENT, SUPERCREW 

Removal and Installation 

1. Remove the bolts. 

z

Remove the covers and the bolts. 

NOTE:

Removing the seat requires more than one technician.
