7. Remove the shift cable bracket from the transmission. 

1. Remove the nut.  

2. Remove the bolt.  

3. Remove the shift cable bracket.

5.4L Engine With 4R100 Transmission 

8. Remove the shift cable bracket from the transmission. 

1. Remove the bolts.  

2. Remove the shift cable bracket.

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Prior to installing the shift cable, verify the digital TR sensor adjustment. For additional 
information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION-4R100 - F150 PICKUP or 
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION-4R70W - F150 PICKUP .

Adjust the shift cable. For additional information, refer to CABLE ADJUSTMENT-SHIFT 
INDICATOR .  

SELECTOR LEVER 

Removal & Installation 

1. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder (11582). For additional information, refer to STEERING 

COLUMN SWITCHES - F150 PICKUP .  

2. Remove the upper steering column shroud (3530).

3. Remove the gearshift lever (7210). 

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.  

2. Remove and discard the gearshift lever pin (7G357).  

3. Remove the gearshift lever.
