Ford F150 Pickup. Instruction - part 1880

2. Disconnect the HEGO sensor connectors, the VSS connector, the reverse lamp switch connector, 

then remove the wiring harness. 

1. Disconnect the reverse lamp switch.  

2. Disconnect the OSS electrical connector.  

3. Remove the HEGO sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the case cover. 

1. Remove the bolts.  

2. Remove the case cover.

4. Using the special tool, remove the extension housing seal.

5. Remove the extension housing. 

1. Remove the bolts.  

2. Remove the extension housing.

6. Remove the speedometer drive gear on 4x2 vehicles or the OSS tone ring for 4x4 vehicles. 

1. Remove the speedometer gear or tone ring retaining ring.  

2. Remove the speedometer drive gear or tone ring. Then remove the locating ball.
