Removal & Installation (4.6L - Lower Intake Manifold) 

1. Remove intake manifold. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (4.6L) . Remove fuel lines and 

injectors. Remove noise shield from lower intake manifold. See Fig. 20 and Fig. 21 .  

2. Remove lower intake manifold bolts. Remove lower intake manifold. Clean all mating surfaces.  

3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See Fig. 22 . See TORQUE 

SPECIFICATIONS . Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.
