INTRODUCTION 

The 5.4L engine is available with two bi-fuel options, Liquid Propane Gas (LPG) or Compressed Natural Gas 
(CNG). The fuel control system on these engines is separate from the gasoline fuel system and has unique parts. 
This article only covers removal and installation procedures for alternate fuel components on bi-fuel 
gasoline/LPG vehicles. For removal and installation procedures for alternate fuel components on bi-fuel 
gasoline/CNG vehicles, see REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - F150 PICKUP - BI-FUEL - 
GASOLINE/CNG article. Procedures for systems and components that are the same as gasoline powered 
models are not included in this article. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - BLACKWOOD,

utilize special fuel filler valve, fuel tanks, fuel pressure regulator, fuel lines, fuel rails and fuel injectors. See
