CAUTION: Make sure the capscrew is installed. If it is missed, an 

engine oil leak may occur.

NOTE:

The number 12 position is not part of the staged torque.

40. Install the front cover.

Install the studs. Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).  

Tighten the front cover bolts in the sequence shown in two stages:  

Stage 1: Tighten the bolts to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).

41. Using the special tool, install the front crankshaft oil seal.  

42. Install the crankshaft position sensor. 

NOTE:

Lubricate the parts with clean engine oil prior to installation.
