A P OWER BEFORE AND AFTER IGNITION POWER B EFORE IGNITION A c onstant voltage is supplied to p in 1 o f connector 416 through wire 1000, point 30 on the s tarter motor , fuse E286, the + bolt in the dashboard c onnector lead-through and the voltage distributor block. Power is a lso s upplied (via w ire 1000) from point 30 on the s tarter motor to the B+ connection of the a lternator and to relay G 014 (glow p lug relay). Only wire 1000 to the + bolt in the dashboard connector lead-through is fuse-protected by a 125 A fuse. The o ther wires a re NOT fuse-protected and they can only b e m ade dead by disconnecting the battery leads. There is a voltage on the “S”(sens)-connection of the a lternator from point 30 of the s tarter motor v ia fuse E279 and wire 3084. POWER A FTER IGNITION Power is s upplied to c ontact relay G015 (point 30) via the starter m otor (connection point 30). This connection point may b e c onnected to wire 1010 over contact relay G015. This wire is NOT fuse-protected. OPERA T ION When the ignition/starter switch (C539) is set to the “accessories” position (connection between points 1 and 6), power is supplied to relay G 178 via w ire 1000, fuse E037, ignition/starter s witch (C539) (contact points 1 - 3 ) and wire 1 130. When the ignition/starter switch (C539) is set to the “contact” position (connection between points 1 and 4), relay G015 is energised v ia wire 1000, fuse E037, ignition/starter s witch (C539) (contact points 1 - 4 ) and wire 4001. This then connects wire 1000 (power before ignition) to wire 1010 (power after ignition). When the ignition/starter switch (C539) is turned against the pressure of the s pring (connection between points 1 and 2), relay G015 remains energised and power is supplied to the alarm system (D91 1) (if present) o r d irectly to c onnector 403 connection point 2 v ia wire 1000, fuse E037, ignition/starter s witch (C539) (contact points 1 - 2 ) and wire 4004. The c oil o f relay G372 is energised v ia the c entral PCB. When the ignition/starter k ey is released, the ignition/starter s witch automatically springs back and remains in the “contact” position. 0202 ᓻ 2-24 5 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Electrical system series 65/75/85 CF |
