10 40 WINDSCREEN WIPE/W A SH INST ALLA TION Speed I( low speed) When windscreen wiper switch (C832) is set to position I(connection between contacts A13 and A2), there is a voltage on connection point D9 of D900 (VIC) through fuse E035, wire 121 1, contacts A13 -A2 of switch C832 and wire 4501. The V IC switches connection point C50 to earth. V oltage is now applied to connection point 1 of relay G237 through fuse E025, wire 1205. Because the VIC has connected w ire 4505 to earth through connection point C50, relay G 237 is energised. A voltage is now applied to connection point 53 of B000 through fuse E025, wire 1205, contacts 5 - 3 of G 237, wire 4506, contacts 3 - 4 of relay G236, wire 4507. Speed II (high speed) When windscreen wiper switch C832 is set to position II (connection between contacts A3 and A10), relays G 236 and G237 are switched to earth through fuse E025, wire 1205, relays G236 and G237, wire 4505, diode D782, wire 4504 and switch C832 (contacts 3 - 10). Both relays are now energised. A voltage is now applied to connection point 53b of B000 through fuse E025, wire 1205, contacts 5 - 3 of relay G 237, wire 4506, contacts 3 - 5 of relay G 236 and wire 4508. The V IC is bypassed at speed II (high speed). Interm ittent wipe When windscreen wiper switch C832 is set to intermittent wipe (connection between contacts A13 and A!), there is a voltage on connection point D37 of the VIC through fuse E035, wire 121 1, contacts 13 - 1 of C832 and wire 4502. The V IC switches connection point C50 to earth. V oltage is now applied to connection point 1 of relay G237 through E025, wire 1205. The earth is formed through wire 4505 and connection point C50 of the VIC. As a result, relay G 237 is energised. A voltage is now applied to connection point 53 of B000 through fuse E025, wire 1205, contacts 5 - 3 of relay G237, wire 4506, contacts 3 - 4 of relay G236, wire 4507. A voltage is applied to connection point D32 of the V IC through fuse E025, wire 1205, the cut-of fs witch in the windscreen wiper motor (B000), w ire 4509. The earth with connection point C50 is broken and, as a result, relay G237 is no longer energised. If connection point D32 is earthed again via the cut-of fswitch, connection point C50 w ill be switched to earth again after the interval period, so that relay G 237 is re-activated. This starts the cycle again. W ash/wipe When a voltage is applied briefly to connection point D33 of the VIC through fuse E035, wire 121 1, contacts A4 -A 11 of C832, wire 3648, and then is lost again (windscreen wiper switch C832 no longer operated), connection point 50 of the V IC is switched to earth for a specific period of time. As a result, the relay (G237) is energised and the windscreen wipers perform 1 w iper stroke. When a voltage is applied to w indscreen wiper switch C832 through fuse E035, wire 121 1, contacts A4 -A 11 of C832 and wire 3648 for approximately 2 seconds, a voltage is applied to connection point A1 of the V IC, as a result of w hich the w indscreen wiper pump (B001) is activated. After approximately 1 second, C50 is connected to earth for a specific period of time. As a result, the relay (G237) is energised and the w indscreen wiper motor is operated.
