Tighten: 8 N.m (71 lb in) 4 Control Valve Assembly 5 Fluid Pump Seal 6 Fluid Pump Seal 7 Center Support Fluid Passage Seal Procedure 1. Discard seal and replace with new. 2. It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values 3. If replacing the control valve body assembly, remove the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly

TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT TOOLS REQUIRED J 21366 Converter Holding Strap REMOVAL PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and 2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . 3. Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to One-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement . 4. Support the transmission with a transmission jack. 5. Remove the transmission crossmember. Refer to Transmission Support Crossmember Replacement (2WD 2500 HD/3500) or Transmission Support Crossmember 6. Remove the transmission mount. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement (2WD) or Transmission Mount Replacement (4WD) . 7. Remove the catalytic converter pipe.
