1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement. 2. Move the drive belt tensioner through it's full travel. The movement should feel smooth There should be no binding The tensioner should return freely 3. If any binding is observed, replace the drive belt tensioner. Rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) counterclockwise in order to relieve tension on the belt. 3. If equipped without air conditioning (A/C), remove the belt (1) from the pulleys and the drive belt tensioner.

Remove the breaker bar from the drive belt tensioner. 7. Clean and inspect the belt surfaces of all the pulleys. Installation Procedure

Rotate the belt tensioner (2) counterclockwise in order to relieve the tension on the tensioner. 4. If equipped with A/C, install the belt under the flat idler pulley.
