COMPONENT INSPECTION

1. Check parking lamp

1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".

2. Disconnect parking lamp light bulb.

3. Measure the resistance between both terminals of parking lamp light bulb.

Specification: approx. 0.04 ohms

(If light bulb fails, infinity ohms is measured.)

4. Is the measured resistance within the specification?

YES

Go to step 2.

NO

Replacing the light bulb with `light bulb for test', if normal operating condition is confirmed,
Replace `light bulb for test' with `new light bulb' and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE
REPAIR
".

2. Check FAM

1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).

2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF".

3. Check if DTC is erased after replacing FAM with "FAM for test".

4. Is the DTC erased?

YES

Replace "FAM for test" with "new FAM" and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE
REPAIR
".

DTC B2573 RIGHT PARKING LAMP CIRCUIT OPEN ERROR

COMPONENT LOCATION

Refer to DTC B2535

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

FAM is a part of BCM with DDM, ADM, IPM, RAM, IMS and Cluster module. Each part of BCM is
connected to one another through CAN communication line for efficient communication. Those modules
control front/rear, driver/passenger seat, cluster with electrical signal and they share information with other
modules. FAM (Front Area Module) set up at engine room controls various lamps (fog lamp, headlamp. stop
lamp, turn signal lamp), wiper and performs system error checking as well. Received multi function switch turn
signal lamp signal from IPM through CAN line, FAM controls turn signal lamp with integrated IPS. IPS is a
semi-conductor element which performs roles of fuse and relay. In addition to those roles, it performs sensing
circuit error, circuit protection.

DTC DESCRIPTION

The ECM sets DTC B2573 if open in Right parking lamp circuit is detected.

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

4. Is the DTC B2573 present?

YES

Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION

NO

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and
ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending,
corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to
"VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR" procedure.

TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION

1. Electrical systems consist of a lot of harness and connectors, poor connection of terminals can cause

various problems and damage of component.

2. Check poor connection, bedding, corrosion, contamination, deformation of connector and it terminals.

3. Is any problem found?

YES

Repair if necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR".

NO

Go to POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT INSPECTION
