MAINTENANCE

Hood/Side Panel

The hood and side panels of the
snowmobile protect the operator
from moving parts. Never oper-
ate a snowmobile with the side
panels open or removed.
Always ensure that the hood
and side panels are securely in
place before starting the engine.

To open a side panel, rotate the
two 1/4-turn fasteners at the
upper edges of the side panel.
Release the side panel strap at
the lower edge of the panel.

To remove an open side panel,
pull the panel outward to release
the tabs at the lower edge of the
panel.

Removing the hood is not recommended. Any service requiring the
removal of the hood should be performed by an authorized POLARIS
dealer.

Lubrication

Rear Shock Body Threads

Lubricate rear shock body threads
seasonally with a low-temperature
synthetic grease.

Driveshaft Bearing

This model has sealed bearings that
require no additional lubrication.
