Transponder (key) 

 

  

   Replacement or servicing of the transponder 

integrated with the vehicle keys is not 
possible.  

  

   In the event of transponder malfunction, the 

complete key assembly requires 
replacement.

CAUTION!

 

  

  

Before beginning repairs on the electrical 
system:

 

  

  

 

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.

 

  

  

 

Switch off all electrical consumers.

 

  

  

 

Switch ignition off and remove ignition 
key.

 

  

  

 

Disconnect negative ( - ) battery terminal.

 

  

  

 

When disconnecting and reconnecting 
battery terminals, observe all applicable 
Notes and torque specifications, as well as 
instructions on performing OBD program 
and electrical system function checks as 
specified in this Repair Manual

-  Remove driver's side instrument panel trim.

Installing  

Install in reverse order of removal, 
noting the following:  

-  Remove screws -B- (2 Nm) 

-  Press locking tab -C- while doing 

pulling fuse holder -A- out inward. 

-  Reconnect battery

Installing  

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the 
following:  

-  Remove screws -C- (2 Nm) 

-  Disconnect all screwed connections -D- as 

necessary. 

-  Take out central electric -B- and relay carrier 

out downward. 

-  Reconnect battery
