-  Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool 

(ST) to Data Link Connector 
(DLC) using VAG 1551/3A 
adapter cable.

 In "Rapid data transfer" operating 

mode 1, all vehicle control 
modules with OBD capability can 
be checked automatically using 
"Automatic Test Sequence" 
address word 00.

 The road speed signal input to the ECM for 

cruise control function can be confirmed by 
performing a road test and observing that the 
km/h value indicated in display field 1 changes.  

 Always observe the appropriate safety 

precautions during road test
