< DTC/CIRCUIT DIAGNOSIS >

SLIDING MOTOR

1. Disconnect driver seat control unit and sliding motor LH.

2. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con-

nector and sliding motor LH harness connector.

3. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con-

nector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

 CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to 

GI-39, "Intermittent Incident"

.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to 

ADP-148, "Removal and Installation"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.

Description

• The reclining motor LH is installed to the seatback assembly. 

• The reclining motor LH is activated with the driver seat control unit. 

• The seatback is reclined forward/backward by changing the rotation direction of reclining motor LH.

 CHECK FUNCTION

1. Select “SEAT RECLINING” in “Active test” mode with CONSULT-III.

2. Check the reclining motor LH operation.

Is the operation of relevant parts normal?

YES

>> Inspection End.

NO

>> Perform diagnosis procedure. Refer to 

ADP-95, "Diagnosis Procedure"

.

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to 

ADP-128, "Wiring Diagram"

.

1.

 CHECK RECLINING MOTOR LH POWER SUPPLY

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

2. Perform “Active test” (“SEAT RECLINING”) with CONSULT-lll

3. Check voltage between driver seat control unit harness connec-

tor and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace reclining motor LH. (Built in seatback assembly). Refer to 

SE-44, "Disassembly and

Assembly"

.

NO

>> GO TO 2

RECLINING MOTOR

1. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector and reclining motor

LH.

2. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con-

nector and reclining motor harness connector.

3. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con-

nector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

 CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to 

GI-39, "Intermittent Incident"

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to 

ADP-148, "Removal and Installation"

• The lifting motor (front) is installed to the power seat frame assembly. 

• The lifting motor (front) is activated with the driver seat control unit.

• The lifter (front) is moved upward/downward by changing the rotation direction of lifting motor (front).

 CHECK FUNCTION

1. Select “SEAT LIFTER FR” in “Active test” mode with CONSULT-III.

2. Check the lifting motor (front) operation.

YES

>> Inspection End.

NO

>> Perform diagnosis procedure. Refer to 

ADP-97, "Diagnosis Procedure"
