Sensor

Removal and Installation

Removal

WARNING: Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.

• NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. 

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only

by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the engine cover.

Refer to: Engine Cover - 2.2L Diesel (501-05, Removal and
Installation).

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing the

components, make sure the area around the joint faces
and connections are clean. Plug open connections to
prevent contamination.

Torque: 35 Nm

Installation

Apply anti-seize compound to the sensor threads.

Refer to: Specifications (303-08, Specifications).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
