Circuit Operation
The engine or powertrain control module (ECM or PCM)
receives inputs from switches and sensors, and controls
the functions of transmission mode. The multi-plexed in-
dicator control unit also controls the “POWER DRIVE”,
“WINTER DRIVE”, “A/T OIL TEMP”, and “CHECK
TRANS” indicator lights and allows for diagnostic testing
through the data link connector, (DLC).
Refer to Section 7 of the Workshop Manual for further
transmission diagnosis.
