POWER ANTENNA

Symptom

Possible causes

Repair order

Power antenna does not
operate.

1. 10A fuse
2. Radio signal
3. Grounds B109 and B110

1. Check 10A fuse [No. 24, located in fuse block (J/B)].

Verify that battery positive voltage is present at termi-
nal 6 of power antenna.

2. Turn ignition switch and radio ON. Verify that battery

positive voltage is present at terminal 4 of power
antenna.

3. Check grounds B109 and B110.

Antenna Rod Replacement

REMOVAL

1.

Remove antenna nut and antenna base.

2.

Withdraw antenna rod while raising it by operating antenna
motor.

INSTALLATION

1.

Lower antenna rod by operating antenna motor.

2.

Insert gear section of antenna rope into place with it facing
toward antenna motor.

3.

As soon as antenna rope is wound on antenna motor, stop
antenna motor. Insert antenna rod lower end into antenna
motor pipe.

4.

Retract antenna rod completely by operating antenna motor.

5.

Install antenna nut [Tightening torque: 2.0 - 3.9 N·m (0.2 - 0.4
kg-m, 17.4 - 34.7 in-lb)] and base.

Smart entrance control unit controls retained power operation.

RETAINED POWER OPERATION

When the ignition switch is turned to OFF position from ON or START position, power is supplied for 45 sec-
onds

to power window relay terminal 1

from smart entrance control unit terminal 5.

Ground is always supplied

to power window relay terminal 2

through body grounds.

When power and ground is supplied, the power window relay continues to be energized, and the electrical
sunroof can be operated.
The retained power operation is canceled when the driver or passenger side door is opened.
