11. Partially remove the PSIR inflator module from the I/P.  

12. Disconnect the connector position assurance (CPA).  

13. Disconnect the electrical connector from the PSIR module.  

14. Remove the PSIR inflator module from the vehicle.  

15. Fully deploy the module before disposal. If the module is being replaced under warranty, 

fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflator 
Module Handling and Scrapping. 

16. If replacing the PSIR bracket, remove the I/P assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel 

Assembly Replacement (Left Hand Drive) or Instrument Panel Assembly 
Replacement (Right Hand Drive) . 

IMPORTANT: If the PSIR module has deployed while attached to the I/P, the 

PSIR bracket MUST be replaced.

17. Remove the 2 fasteners retaining the PSIR bracket to the I/P structure.

18. Remove the PSIR bracket from the vehicle.

1. If replacing the PSIR bracket, install the PSIR bracket to the I/P structure.
