1. Install the oil filter bypass valve.

2. Install the oil filter adapter. 

Tighten: Tighten the oil filter adapter to 30 N.m (22 lb ft). 

EXHAUST MANIFOLD INSTALLATION 

NOTE:

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the NEW exhaust manifold gasket.

2. Install the exhaust manifold.  

3. Add threadlock GM P/N 89021297 (Canadian P/N 10953488) to the exhaust manifold bolt 

threads.  

4. Install the exhaust manifold bolts.
