TEST VER 1A

VERIFICATION TEST - AIRBAG

1. Remove all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected components (except the

battery).

2. Turn the ignition key on and reconnect the battery.

3. Connect the DRB to the data link connector (use the most current software available).

4. Use the DRB to erase the stored codes.

5. Turn the ignition off and wait 15 seconds before turning the ignition on.

6. Wait one minute, and read the active codes.

7. Does the DRB display any active codes?

YES - Perform Airbag Test 1A.
NO - Perform step number 8.

8. With the DRB read the stored codes.

9. Does the DRB display any stored codes?

YES - Perform Airbag Test 1A.
NO − System operating properly at this time.

TEST VER 2A

VERIFICATION TEST - BODY

1. Reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors.

2. Was the body control module replaced?

NO − Continue to step 3.
YES - Use the DRB and:

1. Program all RKE transmitters used with this vehicle.

2. Recalibrate HVAC doors.

3. Program other options as necessary.

3. If any repairs were made to the HVAC system or the battery was disconnected:

Start the engine and, using the DRB, recalibrate the HVAC doors.

4. Ensure that the ignition is on, and with the DRB, erase all diagnostic trouble codes.

5. Turn ignition off and wait 5 seconds.

6. Turn ignition on and fully operate the system that was malfunctioning.

− If the system is operating properly, continue to step 7.

− If the system is not operating properly, repeat ‘‘Symptom ID’’ TEST 1A.

7. With the DRB, read body control module trouble codes.

− If no codes are present and the customer’s complaint cannot be duplicated, the repair is

complete.

− If any codes are present, perform ‘‘Symptom ID’’ TEST 1B.

TEST VER 3A

VERIFICATION TEST - VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM

To verify the system, proceed as follows:

> Make sure all doors, trunk and hood are closed.

> Open driver’s door.

> Remove the ignition key (but keep it in hand).

> Lock the doors with the power door lock switch.

> Close the driver’s door.

> If the instrument panel VTSS indicator lamp flashed, the system is operational and verified.
If not, perform VTSS TEST 1A.

TEST VER 4A

VERIFICATION TEST - MEMORY SYSTEM

1. Reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors.

2. Ensure the ignition is on and using the DRB, erase the memory system trouble codes.

3. Operate the power seat in all positions.

4. Reset the seat and mirrors in both memory positions.

5. Operate both seat heaters low and high.

6. Using the DRB read DTC’s.

No DTC’s - repair complete
DTC’s present - perform ‘‘Memory System’’ TEST 1A
