IDENTIFYING VEHICLE EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEM PROBLEMS

Perform a visual inspection and verify the complaint before proceeding

The Diagnostic Tests in this manual are separated by Systems. All Systems require different inputs
to operate correctly. You must refer to the Symptom Identification (I.D.) test for a given System and
follow the listed requirements in order to correctly diagnose any symptom. If a Diagnostic Trouble
Code (DTC) is present, refer to the Symptom I.D. TEST 1B on the facing page to find which section
the diagnostics will be covered in.

The following is a list of the systems covered in this manual and the Symptom I.D. test to perform.

NOTE: Technical Service Bulletins may be published that address the systems listed below.
Always refer to the most current information available relating to these items.
