9911/9912 TONNEAU COVER SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN (CONTINUED) • When Monitored: Continuously, with the ignition on. • Set Condition: When the Power Top Control Module (PTCM) senses voltage on the Tonneau Cover Possible Causes OPEN TONNEAU COVER SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT TONNEAU COVER SWITCH POWER TOP CONTROL MODULE Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Diagnostic Test 1. Read DTCs Turn the ignition on. With the DRBIII T , read Current DTCs. Are the Rear Bow Switch and the Tonneau Cover Switch Open Yes >> Check and repair the Switches common ground circuit for a loose, damaged or corroded ground circuit. Perform POWER TOP CONTROL MODULE VERIFICA- No >> Go To 2 2. Tonneau Cover Switch Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Tonneau Cover Switch harness connector. Note: Check connectors — Clean/repair as necessary. Turn the ignition on. With DRBIII T , select Input/Output Display and monitor the TON COVER SW SENSE. Does the TON COVER SW SENSE read “LOCKED”? Yes >> Replace the Tonneau Cover Switch. Perform POWER TOP CONTROL MODULE VERIFICA- No >> Go To 3 ZH CONVERTIBLE TOP 23 - 175 |
